The way I shoot is quite simple. I tend to go down the artist route of simplifying and not mystifying like the intellectuals of this world. I just shoot freely, trying to capture some kind of emotional connection in that frozen frame, with the juxtaposition of humour and melancholy playing a big part. I am not consciously trying to create a 2 dimensional work of art. By shooting photo after photo I am trying to become closer and closer to the truth of that moment in time which I know is impossible and which alludes me every time. Thats why I never stop taking pictures. Like most artists I am interested in the the nature of the world and my own personal sense of time. I am so lucky to have this as a job!
